Paulo Avelino (born Michael Lingbanan Avelino; May 13, 1988) is a Filipino actor, model, singer, and television presenter.He is known for his portrayal of Gregorio del Pilar in the eponymous historical epic film Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral (2018).
He began his career by appearing on GMA Network's reality talent show StarStruck.After being eliminated from the show, he signed an exclusive contract with GMA and played supporting roles for the network.In mid-2011 he transferred to ABS-CBN, where he gained his current popularity.He gained prominence for his role as Nathan Montenegro in Walang Hanggan (2012).He won the Gawad Urian for Best Actor for the film Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa.He appeared in Kahit Konting Pagtingin and Honesto (2013), Sana Bukas pa ang Kahapon (2014), and Bridges of Love (2015).
He has become known in Peru and the rest of Latin America for his role as Carlos Antonio / Manuel "JR" Nakpil Jr. in Bridges of Love.In late 2017, he took part in drama tapings for The Promise of Forever (2017) and Asintado (2018).In 2018, he was cast in the primetime soap opera The Generals Daughter.
